option packages

Postby roadkil » Tue May 29, 2007 2:06 pm

on 90 Integra RS models there were 27 different option parts that could be ordered/installed independently of each other. So, this means that I can uninstal them independently as well, right?

I want to pull the air conditioner and stereo, but leave the optional disc brakes.

Just wanted to clarify before I started going crazy.

6.2.C.1:All Cars must be equipped as from the manufacturer, with only factory-installed and port-installed option packages. Options that were only part of a package must be present with the entire package. Complete option packages may be installed after purchase of the vehicle.

If you're talking about Rally Stock, this should indicate that the car needs to have the complete package that it came with.

i.e. you can't make a Civic DX into an Si.

if complete option packages can be installed, why can't they be uninstalled?

mine's a bit different though. RS models could be had with air and disc brakes or without air and disc brakes.

thanks mike

If that is the case, then you would be fine to retain disc brakes and remove air.

Mike's point wasn't that you could pick/choose options, but they must be done as a package in way that was available from the factory.
