caliper clearance issue / wheels

caliper clearance issue / wheels

I just picked up some alloys from a prelude for my slicks but they dont clear the calipers. can i shave the inside of the alloys? what should i do?

No, I wouldn't shave any part of the wheel. It could lead to cracking or the wheel failing on you.

The best thing to do would be to get some new wheels that clear your calipers.

yeah, i hate to bite the $150 though. i guess selling them is an option.

Will adding a small spacer (1/4") get you the clearance you need?

spacer with longer studs for events only should work well. There is usually a 'little' room to shave some caliper material off also.
