what is legal and not with this car:

Postby Moss Racing » Wed Jul 04, 2007 11:23 pm

1983 mazda GS
1985 mazda GS rear end
G-Force engineering coil overs
soon to be:
g-force tri-link and panhard bar setup
GSL-SE rear end or ford 8.8 rear end
turn in spacers in the front

heres the kickers:
no dash
no interior
2 seats and steering wheel, does have gauges, just no dash
no cage
mustang 5.0 motor with 5 speed transmission
motor has intake manifold and carb with aftermarket cam
electric fan
alumin. radiator
alumin. driveshaft
14" rims

can i run the car without the dash and just have a couple mandatory gauges?

i know i would be in x prepared or one of the mod classes.

car will be caged and such in the future with an aluminum dash, i just wnat to know if i can run it on the 8th to get seat time in it.

For RWD the basic formula is 1200 lb + 200 lb per liter of engine displacement. If your case (assuming 5.0 L) that makes 2200 lb, without driver. There are additional weight penalties for things like ABS, active suspension, or mid-engine.
