Need a clutch replacement on my Volvo. Where?

Postby DavidZ » Tue Jun 28, 2016 5:20 pm

I'm used to working on my own car, but for a number of reasons I'm now looking to pay a shop for a clutch replacement on my 2004 Volvo S60R. I have all the parts on hand, but don't know who to take it to and haven't made any gear-head friends whose opinion I would trust since I moved to Omaha. I called up Sports Car Garage and he seems like a great guy with the right kind of attitude, but he's all booked up until next Wednesday :(. I can wait if need be, but I'd love to start driving my Volvo again sooner than that.

Might call West Omaha Auto Service. Owned and run by the brother of one of our members. Good folks, and they do good work.

Oh bummer, I had my hopes up. Turns out West Omaha Auto Service doesn't allow you to provide your own parts for the repair... and I've already purchased $1200 worth of clutch/flywheel and other stuff. Looks like I might just make that appointment at Sports Car Garage.

John at Sports Car Garage is also a member. I take my 330ci there.
