We will be voting on a proposed change to the By-Laws at the Banquet/Annual Meeting (date TBA) this year, to change the voting procedure for Board elections to entirely online (via MotorSportReg.com).
Proposed changes can be read here, along with a link to MSR that explains how their voting system works. Moving to MSR means that we can no longer use paper ballots (as they would be entirely separate systems, so no way to check for duplicate votes). The change would also eliminate write-in votes, as MSR does not support this and it is unnecessary anyway (there is no barrier to being a candidate other than good standing in the NRSCCA, all members who accept their nomination will appear on the ballot and you can nominate yourself).
Congratulations to the new (and returning) Board of Governors members for 2024.
Two-Year Terms : Tony Mitera, Riley Heaton, and Rodman Hunsaker
Since Todd Reznicek needed to step down, his remaining year will be filled by Dave Pape.
(bios will be added as I receive them)
I’ve been an SCCA member since 2023. I drive my S2000 in Solo and have recently started co-driving in RallyCross. I make the posts on the NRSCCA Instagram account.
It's me, the guy you see running around fixing and setting up the autocross and rallycross events. Currently the rallycross chair and on the board of governors.
Been doing rallycross and autocross for several years. My main goal is to always have fun.
If you've seen me on site lately, its probably either been behind the microphone of an autocross driver's meeting or in the seat of my much-louder shifter kart. I've been on the board for some time now, and between being the previous Solo Chair and now the Regional Executive I've been constantly bombarding your email inboxes.
My goal is to help steer our club and its events to be the best they can be. Serving on the Board allows for a person to be one of those who has their hands on that particular steering wheel.
I'm a current NRSCCA member and started in 2011 with a couple of years absent.
Currently running in Solo and Time Trials events
Help with fence set up and tear down
Have a current NRSCCA airport badge
I have been a member if the SCCA since 2013, and participate in Solo, and have done one Rallycross. in my professional career, I am a Retired Navy Captain with 27 years in Surface Warfare, and in my other career, I recently retired as a senior Project Manager from Sampson Construction in Lincoln. My claim to Fame projects are the North Stadium and East stadium projects at Memorial Stadium, and the recently completed expansion of the Lincoln airport terminal.
I am currently a board members on both the Waterford Estates HOA, and the Waterford Lake Association in Lincoln, and a past board member of Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties.
For Autocross, I drive the 2001 BMW Z-3 in CS. Only competitive if the MX-5's don't show up.
I have been a NRSCCA member for 3 years.
Currently I am serving as Treasure for the club.
I participate in autocross, thanks to my husband and father-in-law, and have started doing time trials.
(Profiles will be added as they are received).

I have been an acti
ve member of Nebraska Region SCCA since 2007. That year, I had my first taste of sports-car completion, driving a stock 1993 Miata at a Nebraska Region autocross event at Lincoln Southwest High School and continue to compete regularly in regional, divisional, and national autocross events. I have competing regularly in Regional, Divisional, and National RallyCross since 2010. i took on my first leadership role with the club as RallyCross chair in 2012, organizing regional and divisional competitions and playing a major role in the organization of the 2014 SCCA RallyCross National Championships, which were held at nearby I-80 Speedway in 2014. I have served on the board of governors since 2014 and as Regional Executive since 2018.
I am fortunate to serve an active Nebraska motorsports club, which was founded nearly 70 years ago by a small group of of enthusiasts that had grown into a thriving community hosting numerous of competitions each year and boasting many national champions and trophy winners in Autocross, RallyCross, and Club Racing. As an active club member and in my leadership roles, I have helped to plan, promote and operate our various competition, social, and service activities. I would be happy to continue serving the club as a member of the Board and in other roles for years to come. Therefore, I ask you to vote for me to continue service on the Nebraska Region SCCA Board of Governors for two more years.

I have been a NRSCCA member for 7 years. During that time I served as Rallycross Chair for 3 years. While a member of SCCA I have competed in many rallycross events, designed courses, ran events, was a regional safety and competed in 3 SCCA National Championships. I have been involved in other forms of rally as a co-driver in ARA stage rallies since 2020 as well.
In my personal life, I am married and have a young daughter. I own a woodworking business and work part time as a mechanic at a nonprofit. My hobbies include driving cars, breaking cars, and then fixing the cars so I can drive them more. I currently daily drive a 1986 Dodge Ram B250 full size passenger van with a carbed 318.

I have been a member of the Region since 1985. I run primarily Solo events, but also ran most Road Rally events when we used to have them regularly. I have worked Tech at races at RPM. I have designed a few Solo courses. For several years, I also worked Tech at Solos. I am a member of the NRSCCA History team. I am currently the Region Secretary. And I am also the Regions representative on the MiDiv Solo Committee.
I have won the Workers Cup and the Byer’s Memorial trophies. I have also won the Woody Dunn Memorial and the Wilson Memorial trophies as part of the History team.
I enjoy working the the other members of the Board of Governors and the Officers, to help keep the Nebraska Region moving in a forward direction. Having been around for a few years, and seen many things come and go with the Club, I feel I have a little broader perspective on some things in the Club, compared to some of our newer members. I am always in favor of new ideas, but sometimes being able to look back at previous ideas helps guide things in a forward direction.
Thank You for your consideration.
Deadline for voting is November 2, 2023 at 7pm.
