Officer Reports

Secretary Report

Shana Hogan emailed last month’s minutes to the Board Members and was approved. No further discussion.

Treasurer Report

John LaRandeau gave his report. Ben Tusa motioned to approve, Kevin McEnhill 2nd; all in favor. Treasurer’s report passes.

Activities Report

Steve Ducharme discussed how the website needs updating. The Minutes are out of date and the schedule for 2017 needs to be updated.

The National RallyCross Challenge will be April 7-8, which is on top of NRSCCA Solo #1 and the National RallyCross Championships will be October 21-22, which is on top of NRSCCA RallyCross #7, suggested to move the NRSCCA Events; Mark Walker will check with Lincoln Airpark for alternative Solo dates and Steve will check with I-80 Speedway for alternative dates.

Steve discussed Mike Lovejoy’s RallyCross reports submitted prior to the meeting. Mike states the 100 Acre Wood Rally is March 18; asked if it would be possible to move NRSCCA RallyCross #2; Steve Ducharme will also check this date with I-80 Speedway. Mike also stated that Baxter Subaru, again this year, will be putting on a Boxers at Baxter event on Saturday, July 15th, and is working on details to get the Subaru Rally Team USA to bring their trailer and car to the RallyCross on July 16th for display. In addition, Mike recommended that NRSCCA staff a booth at the Boxers at Baxter event.

There is currently a lot of work going on at I-80 Speedway in the area NRSCCA uses for RallyCrosses. According to Steve, there are some large piles of dirt in the area that will have to be worked around.

Steve also brought up the NRSCCA advertising sign at I-80, it is time to renew the $500 sponsorship.

Steve Ducharme motioned that NRSCCA pay the $500 sponsorship fee for the sign at I-80; Anthony Jackson seconded; vote all in favor, motion passes.

Club Race Report

Candy Gerber discussed the dates for the NRSCCA Club Races this year; they will be June 3-4 at RPM for a Triple Regional race and July 22-23 at MPH for a Majors race.

National Events

Mark Walker reported on the following: set-up weekend for Spring Nationals has been moved to May 13/14; Starting Line is set up for June 7th, USCA would like to have an Autocross at LAP on August 19 & 20, but LAP currently has an event that weekend with a different client. Mark said that he is going to check with LAP about using a different lot for USCA, to run as the same time as the other client.

Dave Zitzlsperger motioned that NRSCCA should support the USCA event whenever it ends up; Steve Ducharme seconded; vote all in favor, motion passes.

===Membership Report=== Julie Heaton emailed her report to the Board; NRSCCA has 291 current members including 4 new members. ===Exhaust Notes=== Candy Gerber reported that the February edition went to the printers and will be mailed out shortly.

Banquet

Ellen Zitzlsperger reported that there were 98 people who attended the banquet. Food was good this year and the trophies went over well.

Old Business

2017 schedule divided up for Activity Points; there are currently 4 of the 8 Solos, 4 of the 8 RallyCrosses and 2 Club Races.

New Business

There was discussion about the Solo Classes for 2017. Dave Zitzlsperger motioned that NRSCCA Solo classes should include the current National open classes, Pro and Ladies PAX classes only; Kevin McEnhill seconded; vote all in favor, motion passes.

There was also discussion about a possible Kart year- end trophy. It was decided to not proceed with a year- end award for the Karts at this time.

Another topic brought up was the Points for Solo and RallyCross and the current way in which they are figured.

A suggested proposal by Ellen Zitzlsperger was discussed, but did not pass for lack of a motion. There are a few items that need cleared up, first off the definition for how many events to qualify for year-end awards. It was decided that it should be “greater than 50%” (ie. if 8 events, need 5).

Second item to clear up is how many events will be dropped, for Class championship, drop 1 lowest Regional event; for Driver of the Year, drop 2 lowest Regional events and include both the Divisional and National events. The third item was whether there should be a tie breaker, and it was decided, no to leave it a tie.
