Update on COVID-19 and Social Distancing

  • SCCA has just published the COVID-19 Guidelines for Solo Nationals.
  • Recommended that we follow many of them for our remaining Solo events of 2020.
  • One item should be considered carefully: ‘Failure to comply with these (COVID-19) rules may result in exclusion from the remainder of the event.’
  • We will provide more enforcement of wearing of masks and social distancing at the MiDiv Solo Championships event.
  • The COVID-19 Guidelines for the RallyCross Nationals are not as extensive, and do not have the expulsion rule in them, though this may change by the time the event begins.

Update on Event Operations (We have been doing most of this)

  • Make sure portable toilets all have hand sanitizer mounted inside.
  • Place one hand-washing station with each set of portable toilets.
  • Place spray bottles of disinfectant by each portable toilet. Recommend spraying surfaces and touch points before and after use.
  • Keep the COVID-Cleaner work assignment and station as it was on July 26.
  • Looking in to purchasing a supply of Logo Pens to hand out to competitors
  • Looking in to purchasing face coverings with the NRSCCA logo and sell. Can also use as small rewards.
  • PurchasesomeforsaleattheMiDivChampionship event. Also some for our August 22-23 event. Sell, and award to class winners. Motion by Steve: Order 50 for MiDiv and August 22-23. All in favor.
  • We will be selling our old Loaner helmets - $5 each.

Does the Corvette club still plan to join us in September?
