Secretary’s Report

April presented Annual Meeting minutes as sent by Julie Heaton in her absence. December meeting minutes were not available at this time. Membership report was also given in Julie’s absence. 221 members as of 2/6/14, 3 new from January.

Treasurer’s Report

John LaRandeau presented Treasurer’s Report. Motion by Dave Fink to accept Treasurer’s Report. 2nd by Candy Gerber. Motioned carried, all in favor.

Pointskeeper Report

Jerry Doctor presented redesigned Participant Evaluation Responses in an effort to improve tracking of best event scores. Motion by Candy Gerber to approve new P.E.R.s. 2nd by Patt Buell. Motion carried, all in favor.

Also presented was proposed addition to rules for Solo Awards: If the Solo Safety Steward is not allowed to compete due to lack of a backup safety steward, he will receive first place Solo and Activity Points. (The same as the Eventmaster. This would apply to RallyCross events as well.) Motion by Matt Cox to approve proposal. 2nd by Candy Gerber. Motion Carries, 5-1.

Motion by Candy Gerber to change designation from Solo Eventmaster to Eventmaster or Course Designer to receive 1st place points. 2nd by Patt Buell. Motion Fails, 3-3. Will stay as is.

Also suggested rule change for Novice Awards. Proposed replacement to current Novice rule: To be eligible to receive a novice award, a member must have first joined the Nebraska Region during the previous or current calendar year. In the case of a minor, eligibility begins when the individual is old enough to complete in the event in classes other than those limited to minors. Under no circumstances will a member be allowed to receive the same novice award two years in a row. Motion by Matt Cox to accept proposed Novice rules change as written. 2nd by Patt Buell. Motion carries, 4-2.

Solo Report

Mark Walker presented budget for Solo. Motion by Matt Cox to approve budget for first event. 2nd by Steve Ducharme. Motion carries, all in favor. Motion by Matt Cox to approve that towing of the club equipment trailer to an event would result in reimbursement of mileage at the rate of $1/mile. 2nd by Steve Ducharme. Motion carries, all in favor. Discussion was had regarding SPS Regional Solo Contingency Program.

RallyCross Report

National Championships will be held this year Oct. 3-5. Steve Ducharme submitted budget. Motion from Matt Cox to increase cost per event from $25/$35 (member/non-member price) to $35/$45 to help cover costs. 2nd by Candy Gerber. Motion carries, all in favor. Motion by Matt Cox to approve budget for first event. 2nd by Candy Gerber. Motion carries, all in favor.

Road Rally Report

Weather will not be good for a rally anytime soon. Will look at later in the year.

Club Racing Report

Looking for ideas to get attendance up for race including possibility of scheduling an Enduro Sunday PM. Looking for costs from the track this year to budget. Need to find a registrar for races. Drivers License & questions go to Scott Bowman. Many drivers didn’t meet minimum requirements this year, so there will be many waivers.

Social Report

Chuck Garcia reported on progress of Car Show. Motion by Matt Cox to approve budget for car show. 2nd by Patt Buell. Motion passed, all in favor. Also planning on having a picnic this year, maybe in September.

Website Update

Tabled until next meeting.

Exhaust Notes/Publicity Report

Stamps went up, so first few months purchased in advance. Motion by Matt Cox to approve budget for first three months. 2nd by Steve Ducharme. Motion carries, all in favor.

Old Business

Is the grill currently used at events ok? Dented, but yes.

New Business

Motion by Candy Gerber that receipts must be presented within 60 days or you will not reimbursed. Motion carries, all in favor.

Decided that as Mark Walker’s old office was the Nebraska Region’s current mailing address that it would be changed to his new office address.

Motion by Matt Cox to pay for the year on a storage unit for the club. 2nd by Steve Ducharme. Motion carries, all in favor.

Motion by Matt Cox to approve I-80 advertising sign to advertise RallyCross National Championships. 2nd by Candy Gerber. Motion passed, all in favor.

Motion by Candy Gerber to adjourn. Passed at 10:18pm.
