The meeting was called to order by Regional Executive Mark Walker at 8:03p.m.

LOCATION: Asset Appraisal Services, 344 N. 115th Street, Omaha, NE

Board members: Mark Walker, Patt Buell, Candy Gerber, Chuck Garcia, Stan Cisar, and Leal Cleland.

Others in attendance: Jan Gerber, Anne LaRandeau, John LaRandeau, Matthew Cox, Dave Crusoe, and Mikaela Walker

Secretary’s Report

The minutes of the February BOG meeting were handed out by secretary Mikaela Walker. The minutes were reviewed, motion/ second to approve minutes, Gerber/Garcia, approved by Board Members.

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer John LaRandeau handed out copies of the checking and savings account statements. The reports were reviewed and discussed. Motion/second to approve treasurer’s report, Walker/ Garcia, approved by Board Members. John LaRandeau discussed getting a separate checking account for the Club Racing side of the NRSCCA. Motion/second to approve second account, Walker/ Buell, approved by board members. John LaRandeau discussed getting Bob Herman reimbursed for expenses at the October club racing event in Hastings, NE in 2010.

Activities

The World of Wheels Auto Show turnout was discussed. The show was not as populated as in years prior, however, there seemed to be a lot of interest.

RallyCross

Testing for the new RallyCross site at the Lincoln Air Park are to be held April 3rd 2011. Sanctioning for this event will be covered by the SCCA National Office. Matthew Cox advised the Board Members that Jim Phillips will not be active in the RallyCross program this year and has already contacted Jon Simmons and Kris Martison about sharing the duties of RallyCross Chair.

Solo

A make-up Solo will be held April 2nd, at LAP. Event Master will be Mark Walker. Nebraska Region has been approved by the SCCA National Office to have 5-8 year old Junior Karts, Class FJC, at events. Tim Heaton will be the Youth Steward. On July 9th, 2011 an Introduction to AutoCross will be held for the BMW Club. BMW club members will have the option to compete in their own classes at the July 10th AutoCross. Motion/second was made to offer BMW club members membership rates at the July 10th event. Garber/ Buell, approved by Board Members. Discussion of the Street Survival School in conjunction with the BMW club. This will be held on August 25th, 2011.

Competition

Discussion was held regarding the Race Officials Training at MAM. This will be held on April 10th, 2011. Discussed the planning status of the August N/N/IT/IT and October Mid-Am bonus Race events. MVRG Awards for 2010 are done and to be given out at the first club race at MAM on April 14th-15th, 2011.

Old Business

The new club helmets will be ordered on April 15th. Any member who wishes to purchase a helmet must have order with money submitted by then.

New Business

There is a grant for fencing that is given out by the City of Lincoln. The paperwork will be submitted by the Lincoln Air Park. The relationship between the Nebraska Region SCCA and the History site was discussed. Motion/second to adjourn, Buell/ Gerber, approved by Board Members, meeting adjourned at 9:55p.m.
