January 29, 2015

Start Time: 8:00 PM, Clancy’s Pub 114th & Dodge Omaha, NE

Attending: Jerry Doctor, Patt Buell, Steve Ducharme, Chuck Garcia, Mark Walker, Candy Gerber, Ben Tusa, Dave Pape, Doug Leibman, and Shana Hogan.

Old Business

Treasurer’s Report

April Walter not present. John LaRandeau e-mailed report to board members. Motion to approve by Candy Gerber & Mark Walker.

Secretary's Report

Shana Hogan did not bring last months minutes but will next meeting (also they were in the last newsletter) or e-mail out to board members.

Banquet Report

Candy Gerber said she has received the Plaques that we not available in time for the banquet. Candy e-mailed out the amount made from the banquet to the officers. A concern about running out of some food before everyone could eat was brought up. The food issue will be resolved by next years banquet.

A comment about the OPS Manual was also mentioned.

New Business

Jerry Doctor talked about the legal status of the club. Regarding the Charter and the fee which is renewed every other year. He listed the current officers for 2015 on it. The Bi-Annual report is up to date.

John LaRandeau had e-mailed the 2013 officers.

Jerry Doctor named additional officers for 2015, which are April Walter is Banquet Chair, Solo Youth is Tim Heaton, Web Master is David Cosseboom, Facebook Page is John Simmons and Matt Cox. Steve Ducharme motion to approve. Mark Walker second. Was approved.

Allocate $10 an event for Facebook promotion. Steve Ducharme motion to approve. Chuck Garcia second motion. Passed. Mark Walker talked about schedule changes on the calendar. Steve Ducharme motioned to approve. Chuck Garcia seconded. The schedule was approved.

Activities points were chosen 4- RallyCross, 3 Solo, and 2- Races. They were approved.

Mustang club of Omaha wants to share a charity Solo event this year. The starting line school on May 2, 2015 and Ollie Webb charity solo event on May 3, 2015 would be a good time to do this. Candy Gerber motion to pass and Chuck Garcia seconded. The Paul Brown Rally will be on April 18, 2015 this year.

Jerry Doctor wants to improve on the clubs record keeping this year. Money must go through the proper channels.

  • Receipts must be presented to get paid

The Rebels still need to be paid for their help from May 2014. Mark Walker moved to pay The Rebels $400.00 If no numbers are presented to NRSCCA. Candy Gerber seconded.

Budgets from last year will be used for 2015 for Solo and Rally Cross.

Exhaust notes were discussed again. Need to see what members prefer. Options are paper or electronic.

An information tent at events for questions was discussed. Steve Ducharme, Doug Leibman and Dave Pape will work on this together.

Annual Tech will be offered this year. Stan Cisar will be contacted to make the stickers for annual tech. Steve Ducharme motioned to approve. Chuck Garcia seconded.

New helmets were discussed for the club and Mark Walker can order from St. Louis. Steve Ducharme motion to pass. Chuck Garcia seconded.

Steve Ducharme and Doug Leibman will use the 2014 budget for food for Rally Cross.

Mark Walker said the generator need repaired in the trailer. Mark can buy a kit for the repairs and said Gil Sherman offered to help fix. Candy Gerber motioned to buy the kit. The motion was seconded by Chuck Garcia.

Jerry Doctor offered $400.00 to Jim McNeil to be paid to the Rebels club. Jerry also requested the region donate $25 to their scholarship program. Candy motioned to send the $25 to the scholarship fund (by email.)

Jerry Doctor spoke with Tayler Suderman of the UNL’s FSAE team. They would like to have “Sponsor Appreciation” event with us on the Solo course where team members and sponsors could drive FSAE cars. April 12 Solo and would cost $12 per driver for the sanction and insurance. Tayler guarantees at least 5 people to help with fence on Saturday.

Feb. 6, 2015

Candy Gerber moved to provide a free entry to Mid-Div Solo and a $250 discount at the NRSCCA race as a donation to silent auction at Mid- Div convention. April Walter was concerned about the large difference in value for Solo prize versus the Club price. A proposal was made to make the Racing Discount $100 and was second by April Walter through email.

5 board members in favor. Steve Ducharme objected on procedural grounds.
