January 27, 2011

The meeting was called to order by Regional Executive Mark Walker at 8:01 pm.

LOCATION: Asset Appraisal Services 344 N 115th St., Omaha, NE 68154

IN ATTENDANCE:

Board members in attendance: Mark Walker, Patt Buell, and Chuck Garcia.

Others in attendance: John LaRandeau, Ann LaRandeau, Matthew Cox, Mikaela Walker, and Paul Gledhill. Candy Gerber gave her Proxy to Patt Buell.

Secretary’s Report

Secretary Ann LaRandeau handed out copies of the minutes from the December Board meeting. The minutes were reviewed. Motion to approve minutes, Patt Buell/Candy Gerber, approved by all.

Treasurer’s Report

Copies of the bank statement and savings account were handed out by Treasurer John LaRandeau. The accounts were reviewed and discussed. Motion to approve treasurer’s report, Candy Gerber/ Patt Buell, approved by all.

Social – Banquet Update

Total attendance of Banquet was discussed. It was determined that those who could not make the banquet due to inclement weather, will be refunded.

Rallycross

Discussion regarding the sanction forms for the February 20th Rallycross and if they were completed and submitted.

Solo

All dates that were requested for the LAP have been approved as usable dates by the LAP. Discussion of a 2-day event was held for somewhere towards the end of July. Final discussions to be made at a later date.

NRSCCA is looking to find sponsors for the 2011 Spring Nationals (National Tour/ Pro Solo) awards dinners to be held.

Competition

Waiting on final costs for the 100% Club Awards of MVRG for final dissolution.

Old Business

It was determined at the beginning of the 2010 race year that the loaner helmets owned by NRSCCA will be out of date and new ones will be purchased. There was talk about the purchasing options at different vendors. Discussion was also held about purchasing helmet socks. The helmet sock would need to be purchased in order to use a loaner helmet. This will help eliminate abuse of the loaner helmets, and keep them cleaner for as long as possible. Price for helmet sock will be $2.

New Business

  • It was announced that SAE will be coming to the Lincoln AirPark in 2012.
  • The Lincoln AirPark will be submitting an application to the City of Lincoln for a fence grant so there will be a more lightweight, and easier to maneuver fence to put up for events held at the Lincoln AirPark.
  • Discussion about Spring Nationals contracts at the AirPark were held. More to come at a later date.
  • Treasurer John LaRandeau presented paperwork for a bond to the NRSCCA.
