Activities: Steve Ducharme
Steve reported there were two regional events in July. A Solo on the July 10 drew 113 competitors. Ron Vermulm of SPS/ R&S racing was the coarse designer and his course drew high praise from competitors.
The July 17 RX drew 23 drivers, with a excellent course designed by Alex Reinkordt.
Regional points solos have been very successful this year, averaging over 100 competitors per event. The solo entries are the highest in my memory. Many of the drivers from outside the region who come to get seat time on the Nationals site and they seem to appreciate our event operations as well.
The MidDiv championships were held July 29-31. In August a Solo points event will be held on August 7, 2016. The Solo and ProSolo Championships will be held at LAP beginning September 2, 2016. This brings in income that supports regional activities throughout the year.
The Region will host the MidDiv Rallycross championships on September 17-18. Jim Rowland raised the possibility of including a night session like the one we had in April. There was also discussion on 1-80 RX site prep.
National Events: Mark Walker
Mark suggested that a registration for a set number, be set up for fence setup : maybe 8 people, Gate; 2 people , Tech 2; people , Registration; 2 people before events. That would be at the last setup, there were a larger number of people there duties for the Solo events. The reason was, that that showed up for fence setup and that caused a shortage of workers for the Solo event, because fence setup was considered their duty for the day.
Once again the Rebel club will help out at the Nationals for gate duty and misc. duties.
Mark also needs help manning with the practice course at Nationals.

Social Chair: Chuck Garcia
Chuck said the annual picnic would be on Sept. 24 from 12-6 and will be held at 7821 Military Ave, Omaha Ne. It will be in back parking lot area of Keystone Tavern. Chuck asks that everyone bring a side dish to share and brisket will be served with pop or water. Kevin McEnhill will cook the brisket.
Banquet
Candy Gerber has mentioned per mail two dates that should be avoided: The National convention will be January 19-21,2017 . Also MidDiv convention will be Feb. 3-5,2017.
Old Business
Mark Walker has purchased new Android Tablets (that were approved) for registration and talked about the cost of a WiFi Hotspot needed for the events for the Android tablets . Mark also talked about the cost of golf carts for Solo Nationals .
New Business
Mark Walker reported that the generator has quit working. Mark proposed to the board members to purchase a backup generator. Steve Ducharme motioned to buy the new generator. Chuck Garcia seconded. All for.

Chuck Garcia asked if a photo person can come to the Solo events and take pictures and sell them to the drivers. It was discussed that Regional events are ok but Nationals they would have to pay a vendor fee to national office.
