Gateway International Raceway
— St. Louis, Missouri

Gateway International Raceway

Gateway International Raceway is a road course built over the old St. Louis International Raceway. There are minor elavation changes as the track is mainly flat. The old SLIR had the nickname from its drag racing days of "The Swamp" so be advised to paddock on high ground if it rains.

Gateway was recently purchased by Chris Pook, famous as the promotor of the Long Beach Grand Prix for the past 20 years. Pook plans to build an oval on the site, reconfigure the road course, and "add a drag strip" which really means moving the present drag strip.
