Nebraska Club Race Driver of the Year
Purpose
This trophy is awarded annually to the Nebraska Region outstanding licensed competition driver.
How it is awarded
All Nebraska licensed competition drivers in all classes are eligible for this trophy.
All Mid-Am and National points earned will be counted towards earning this trophy.
The number and quality of points earned determines the driver who earns this trophy.
History of the Trophy
The Nebraska Club Race Driver of the Year replaces the previously awarded George Gunther Memorial trophy due to changes made to club racing at a national level.
It was decided to keep the Gunther Memorial trophy as the Club Race Driver Trophy (no new trophy was started) due to the history of winners engraved upon the trophy.
