The Governor's Cup (retired)

Governor's Cup

Purpose

This trophy was presented by the Area Governor upon the recommendation of the Region's Board of Governors to the Nebraska Region member that had done the most to promote racing in the Midwest Division.

History

The Governor's Cup was gifted to Nebraska Region in 1973 by then Area Governor, Mel Bogus.

The next Area Governor declined to continue the tradition, so the trophy was put to new use as the Workers Cup.
